The P-645 series offers auto-sensing between Full-Rate and G.Lite standards according to Central Office switch or DSLAM (Digital Subscriber Line Access Multiplier) so a user can easily be upgraded from a G.Lite service to a Full-Rate service or vice versa without the cost of a new ADSL modem or router.

First PPPoE Implementation in the World for Virtual Dial Up
Incorporating ZyXEL's first-in-the-world PPPoE implementation, the P-645 series enables users as well as service providers to make use of the existing PPP/PAP/CHAP based authentication and accounting infrastructure. Users don't need to pay extra for PPPoE software while still enjoying the benefit of PPPoE.
Ease of Use and Management
The P-645's SMT(System Managment Terminal) and the optional Web-based configurator makes the configuration easier for the users while saving time and support effort for service providers.
